ChameleonPDF
Create new PDFs
Create a new PDF from blank pages or existing pages
Start a blank PDF, create an empty workspace PDF for collecting pages, or build a new document from pages, images, text, signatures, and browser-based edits.
Files stay local in your browser for normal ChameleonPDF workflows.
How it works
- Start blank or from existing PDFs
Create a blank PDF from the start page, or add an empty PDF from the workspace when you want a destination for pages from other documents.
- Choose the first page size
When starting from a blank PDF, ChameleonPDF opens the first-page-size modal. In the workspace, an empty PDF stays empty until you click Add page.
- Build the document
Add blank pages, drag pages from another PDF, copy and paste pages, or open the editor to add text, images, signatures, page numbers, and other marks.
- Export when it is ready
Download the finished PDF from your browser. For normal ChameleonPDF workflows, PDF contents stay local on your device.
Empty PDFs stay flexible
When you add a blank PDF inside the workspace, ChameleonPDF creates an empty PDF column first. The first-page-size modal appears only when you click the Add page button, because you may want to drag pages from another PDF into the new document instead of creating blank pages.
Ways to build a new PDF
Create a PDF from blank pages, copied pages, dragged pages, text, images, signatures, page numbers, headers, footers, and other browser editor content.
FAQ
Can I create a blank PDF from the start page?
Yes. Use the create blank PDF option on the start page. ChameleonPDF opens the workspace and immediately asks for the first page size.
Can I create an empty PDF in the workspace?
Yes. The Add PDF control can create an empty PDF column. The page size modal appears only after you click Add page, so you can also use the empty PDF as a destination for dragged or pasted pages.
Why does the workspace blank PDF start empty?
An empty PDF is useful when you want to drag pages from another PDF into a new document without automatically creating a blank page first.
Can I make a PDF from pages in other PDFs?
Yes. Open multiple PDFs, create an empty PDF, then drag, copy, or paste pages into the new document before exporting it.
Can I add text and images to a new PDF?
Yes. Open the editor to add text, images, signatures, shapes, annotations, page numbers, headers, footers, and other page content.
Are PDFs uploaded when I create a new PDF?
For normal ChameleonPDF workflows, PDF contents are processed in your browser rather than uploaded to ChameleonPDF servers.
