ChameleonPDF

Browser PDF merge

Merge PDFs in your browser

Combine multiple PDFs into one file using ChameleonPDF. Add your documents, reorder them, choose whether to keep working in the workspace or download right away, and export the finished PDF from your browser.

Files stay local in your browser for normal ChameleonPDF workflows.

Open ChameleonPDF

How it works

  1. Open ChameleonPDF and add the PDFs you want to combine.
  2. Choose merge into workspace when you want to keep editing, or Merge & Download when you want one combined file immediately.
  3. Reorder PDFs in the merge dialog before combining them.
  4. Download the finished PDF from your browser.

Reorder before merging

Both merge routes let you reorder PDFs in the dialog. If your documents are already open in the workspace, drag the PDF title to change the document order there too.

Fix old page numbers after merging

If source documents already have page numbers that no longer match the merged PDF, use the editor page numbers tool to add corrected numbering before export.

FAQ

Can I merge PDFs without uploading them?

Yes. ChameleonPDF's normal merge workflow runs in your browser, so your PDF contents are not uploaded to ChameleonPDF servers for standard PDF merging.

Can I reorder PDFs before merging?

Yes. You can reorder PDFs in the merge dialog before combining them. You can also reorder PDFs already open in the workspace by dragging each PDF title.

What is the difference between merge into workspace and merge and download?

Merge into workspace creates the combined PDF inside ChameleonPDF so you can continue organizing or editing. Merge & Download creates the combined PDF and downloads it directly.

Can I fix page numbers after merging PDFs?

Yes. If the source documents already have page numbers that no longer make sense after merging, use the editor's page numbers tool to add corrected numbering before export.

Is ChameleonPDF free?

ChameleonPDF includes a free plan for core browser-based PDF workflows. Pro is available for higher usage and repeated exports.

Does ChameleonPDF work on Mac, Windows, and Chrome?

ChameleonPDF runs in the browser, so it works on common desktop operating systems and modern browsers, including Chrome-based browsers.
